The Inspection
The project started with the careful removal of 324 square feet of damaged and weathered decking boards. Once the old surface was cleared, our team conducted a detailed inspection of the existing wood joists to assess their structural integrity. The Process
We installed new 5/4” x 6” pressure-treated wood decking boards across the entire 324-square-foot surface, utilizing a clean horizontal pattern with two vertical boards on center for enhanced structural stability and a professional aesthetic. To ensure the longest possible lifespan for the deck, every board was secured using professional-grade #9 x 3” star-drive flat-head wood deck screws, which provide a flush, snag-free finish. Additionally, we replaced 47 linear feet of the top railing with durable 2” x 6” pressure-treated wood boards, refreshing the entire perimeter and reinforcing the safety and look of the deck.
