For this Fairfax property, our team assessed the site to integrate a new staircase and railing system with the existing patio. We identified optimal locations for concrete footings and structural posts to ensure stability. The Process
To build a durable staircase and railing system, we excavated 12″ x 12″ holes and poured deep concrete footings for a solid foundation. We installed a heavy-duty frame with 4″ x 4″ posts and a double 2″ x 10″ beam for strength and stability. The surface features Trex Enhance composite decking in “Toasted Sand” for a rot-proof, splinter-free finish. The project was completed with a sleek Trex Enhance steel horizontal railing system, creating a modern, low-maintenance, and secure design.
The Result
The final result is a stunning, high-performance staircase and railing system that significantly upgrades the home’s outdoor functionality and aesthetic. The combination of ‘Toasted Sand’ Trex composite and modern black steel railings offers a sophisticated look that requires minimal maintenance for decades.
