The Process
The reconstruction began with framing a 12′ x 16′ platform using pressure-treated pine. We installed Trex Enhance decking in “Saddle Brown” with hidden fasteners for a clean finish.
We then built the roof structure with 2x8 joists, plywood, and underlayment, finishing with matching shingles. The space was completed with white ceiling panels, Trex Enhance railing, and a 5-inch gutter system to ensure proper drainage and year-round protection.
The Result
The final result in Suitland, MD, is a stunning 192-square-foot roofed deck that offers the perfect blend of protection and style. The warm Saddle Brown tones of the Trex boards contrast beautifully with the crisp White railing and Fascia, creating a sophisticated look. With its integrated roof and professional drainage, this space is now a true extension of the home, ready for any weather.
