The Inspection
The Alexandria project began with removing 90 linear feet of old railing and 4x4 posts, along with the perimeter end joists to assess the deck’s condition. This preparation ensured a solid, code-compliant base for the new composite railing system, providing long-term safety and stability.
The Process
We reinforced the deck edge with new pressure-treated end joists and 4x4 posts to support the system. The homeowner chose Trex Enhance railing with white rails and black metal balusters for a clean, modern look.
To finish, we wrapped the edges in white PVC fascia, creating a durable, low-maintenance, and weather-resistant result that enhances the home’s appearance.
The Result
The final installation spans 90 linear feet, including 74 feet for the main deck area and 16 feet for the stairs, resulting in a cohesive and secure outdoor environment. The crisp white and black aesthetic modernized the entire space, offering a premium look with the proven durability of Trex composite engineering.
