The Inspection
The existing wooden deck at this Annandale home showed clear signs of aging, with 2x6 boards requiring constant maintenance and losing appeal. After assessing the 192 sq ft surface and 13-step stairs, we found the structure was still sound, but the decking and railings needed a full upgrade to composite materials for improved durability and a more modern look.
The Process
We created a sleek, fastener-free finish using two of Trex’s most reliable lines. Our team removed the old boards and installed 192 sq ft of Trex Enhance decking in Saddle with a hidden clip system for a smooth surface. For the perimeter and stairs, we used Trex Select solid boards, covering 54 linear feet of railing and rebuilding 13 steps with wide, sturdy treads secured with color-matched screws. This combination delivers a refined, low-maintenance outdoor space that complements the home.
