The Inspection
Our project began with the careful dismantling and removal of the existing 284-square-foot wood pool deck. Over time, traditional wood around pools can succumb to moisture damage and wear. Clearing this out allowed our team to prepare a clean, stable ground for a modern, water-resistant upgrade. All debris was promptly hauled away, ensuring a safe and organized environment for the new construction.
The Process
To ensure durability in a high-moisture pool environment, we built a pressure-treated frame with 2x6 joists spaced 16” on center and 4x4 posts anchored in concrete. Joist tape was added to prevent water damage and extend the structure’s lifespan. For the surface, we installed TimberTech Terrain+ decking in “White Oak” with hidden fasteners for a smooth, slip-resistant finish, and added matching fascia boards for a clean, cohesive look.
The Result
The final result is a stunning, single-level 284-square-foot pool deck that perfectly integrates with the surrounding landscape. The addition of new step-downs along the right and rear sides improves accessibility and flow around the pool area. The upgrade to TimberTech White Oak composite ensures this outdoor space will remain beautiful, splinter-free, and low-maintenance for years to come.
