The Inspection
The project involved the renovation of an outdoor landing platform and step, measuring 13’10” wide by 3’ long and elevated 12” from the ground. The initial inspection confirmed the need for the removal of the existing platform and steps, as well as a section of decking measuring approximately 13’10” x 4’.
The Process
The demolition involved removing the old structure and preparing the site for new framing. A durable pressure-treated wood frame was built, with a single step of two 6” risers added for accessibility. The deck surface was finished with TimberTech Ashwood and White Cedar boards, installed using Cortex hidden screws and CONCEALoc clips for a clean look, along with riser boards for a polished finish.
