The Process
The renovation began with the removal of gutters, downspouts, the wood ceiling, and fascia boards. Next, 250 sq. ft. of T-11 siding panels were installed, with 2”x4” pressure-treated wood reinforcing the joints. New PVC fascia boards were added, and gutters reinstalled. Temporary supports ensured stability while replacing metal supports with eight 6”x6” posts, anchored in concrete and wrapped in PVC. Finally, curved diagonal braces were added for structural integrity.
The Result
The completed project significantly improved the carport’s structural stability and aesthetic appeal. The new siding and fascia boards, combined with the robust support system, ensure a durable and visually pleasing structure. The renovation not only enhances the functionality of the carport but also contributes to the overall value of the property.
