The Inspection
For this project in Centreville, our initial focus was on planning a robust foundation for a brand-new 120 square foot deck structure. We meticulously evaluated the terrain to determine the optimal placement for the foundational supports, ensuring our groundwork would not only meet but exceed local building ordinances to guarantee long-term safety and structural stability for the homeowner.
The Process
To create a strong and visually appealing outdoor space, our team excavated deep footing holes and poured concrete to form solid foundations. We built a heavy-duty frame with 2x10 beams and 2x8 joists, then installed #2 pressure-treated 2x6 decking secured with exterior screws for a flush, durable finish. The project was completed with sturdy pressure-treated handrails, ensuring both safety and long-term performance.
The Result
The result is a stunning 120 square foot wooden deck that offers a safe, inviting, and highly durable outdoor extension to the home. The premium pressure-treated pine provides a natural aesthetic, while the reinforced foundation ensures decades of reliable use and peace of mind.
