The Inspection
Prior to commencement, a thorough inspection was conducted to assess subsoil conditions and establish batter boards for the 24' W x 12' L patio area. The site was prepared for excavation, ensuring a solid foundation for the 288 sq ft stamped concrete patio.
The Process
The project began with meticulous excavation and subsoil compaction, followed by the creation of a slight slope to facilitate water drainage. Wood frames were installed to define the patio area, and concrete was poured and flattened across the designated space. Stamps were carefully applied to the surface to achieve the desired texture. Additionally, the existing entrance landing was removed, and excavation around the patio's left and front sides was performed to integrate the new concrete additions seamlessly.
The Result
The finished patio boasts a professionally stamped concrete surface, complete with a new entrance landing that matches the existing walkway’s color. The patio’s subtle slope ensures proper drainage, while the stamped design adds aesthetic appeal. The concrete was allowed to cure for 24-48 hours before being cleaned, washed, dried, and sealed to preserve its quality. The enhancements extend to the surrounding area, which has been fortified with concrete for lasting durability and visual coherence.
