The Inspection
To properly prepare this Bethesda home for a complete exterior upgrade, the original siding required a thorough teardown. We completely removed the existing vertical and horizontal aluminum siding from the specified elevations, along with the old soffits, fascia, rakes, and frieze boards. Following the demolition, we conducted a comprehensive visual inspection of the underlying wall sheathing to ensure a structurally sound surface before applying a premium moisture management house wrap.
The Process
We completed a full exterior renovation using premium materials for enhanced durability, energy efficiency, and curb appeal. The home was upgraded with approximately 1,900 sq. ft. of James Hardie CedarMill Lap Siding in Pearl Gray and 1,300 sq. ft. of James Hardie Vertical Siding in Arctic White for a Board and Batten design. We also replaced select HardieTrim with custom Smooth HardieTrim for a seamless appearance and completed the project with James Hardie vented soffits, CertainTeed porch ceiling panels, PlyGem Mastic shutters, mounting blocks, and gable vents for a polished finish.
The Result
The comprehensive 3,200 sq. ft. siding replacement successfully transformed this Bethesda property into a stunning, highly protected residence. By combining durable James Hardie lap siding with crisp vertical Board and Batten accents and precision-fit custom trim, we delivered an exterior designed to withstand the elements while maximizing curb appeal.
