The Inspection
For this Woodbridge project, we inspected a multi-level deck needing a full aesthetic and protective upgrade. We evaluated the flooring, step-down area, and structure, identifying peeling finishes on benches and exposed joists. This allowed us to plan proper preparation to ensure the new stain would adhere evenly across all surfaces.
The Process
The restoration began with detailed preparation, clearing the area and protecting the home’s siding and back door with plastic sheeting to prevent over-staining. We performed targeted sanding with 120–150 grit sandpaper on all peeling areas to create a smooth, absorbent surface. Using rollers and natural/synthetic bristle brushes, we applied a premium Behr solid stain, ensuring full coverage of all structural components, including joists and the underside of the upper level. The deck was then left to cure for 48 hours, allowing the finish to fully set into a durable, weather-resistant barrier.
The Result
The final result is a stunningly uniform and revitalized deck that enhances the entire backyard in Woodbridge. The Behr solid stain provides a rich color that masks wood imperfections while offering superior protection against UV rays and moisture. Every detail, from the structural beams to the custom benches, now features a consistent, professional finish.
