The Inspection
The project involved a comprehensive assessment of the site, including the existing conditions of the wood deck stairs and the area designated for a new paver patio and concrete platform. The total area of excavation was approximately 692 square feet, with a specific focus on ensuring proper elevation and drainage for the new installations.
The Process
The project followed three phases: demolition of the existing wood stairs, site excavation, grading, and leveling; installation of a 512 sq. ft. oceanic blue paver patio with compacted base, secure borders, and joint sand; construction of a 180 sq. ft. concrete platform with wood framing and drainage; and finally, building a retaining wall with proper drainage for stability.
