The Inspection
The project commenced with a thorough assessment of the existing entrance, identifying the need for structural enhancements and aesthetic improvements. The original door cornice and wood railing were carefully removed to facilitate the installation of a new portico.
The Process
Construction included new roof trusses, beam seating in the brick façade, and installation of rafters, ridge board, and plywood sheathing. L-flashing, underlayment, and asphalt shingles ensured durability, while white fascia, trim, and soffit panels completed the finish. Tuscan bases with Permacast columns were added, along with brick step replacement and bay window trim repairs.
