The Inspection
The project commenced with a thorough inspection of the site to assess subsoil conditions. This evaluation was critical to ensure a stable foundation for the new patio. The designated area of 480 square feet was marked for excavation, taking into account the necessary slope for effective water drainage.
The Process
Following the inspection, batter boards were set up to guide the excavation. The subsoil was compacted to provide a solid base before laying down the base materials. Wood frames were installed to contain the concrete pour, and pea gravel was added to enhance drainage. A wire mesh was incorporated for added strength. The concrete was then poured, leveled, and stamped with a design selected by the client. A color application, also chosen by the client, was applied to the stamped surface. After allowing the concrete to cure for 24-48 hours, the final steps included cleaning, washing, drying, and sealing the patio.
The Result
The completed stamped concrete patio not only meets the functional requirements for drainage and durability but also enhances the aesthetic appeal of the outdoor space. The meticulous attention to detail throughout the process resulted in a high-quality finish that aligns with the client’s vision, providing a beautiful and long-lasting addition to their property.
