The Inspection
The project commenced with a thorough inspection of the site, focusing on the existing conditions and structural requirements. The area encompassed approximately 692 square feet for excavation, with the goal of establishing a stable foundation for a new paver patio and a concrete platform. The site was assessed for drainage and soil conditions to ensure optimal preparation for the upcoming construction phases.
The Process
The project began with the demolition of the wood deck stairs, followed by excavation and grading for the new patio. A 512 sq. ft. paver patio with proper drainage was built using oceanic blue stones, alongside a 180 sq. ft. concrete platform with wood framing and a gravel base. A 6"x6" pressure-treated timber retaining wall was also constructed, incorporating gravel and perforated pipe for drainage.
The Result
The project successfully transformed the site, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics. The new paver patio and concrete platform provide durable outdoor spaces, while the retaining wall adds structural integrity and effective drainage. The meticulous execution of each phase ensured a high-quality finish, meeting all project specifications and improving the overall landscape of the property.
