A Successful Window Well Installation
The Inspection
The client requested the conversion of her two existing double hung windows in her basement into two egress windows. As the right side of the house showed no signs of maintenance, the wells were rusty and not functional for emergency escape. To ensure the safety of the occupants, immediate action had to be taken.
The Process
We commenced the project by removing the existing wells and then excavating to install the new ones. We then filled the area with drainage stone and adorned the wells with decorative stones for aesthetic appeal. Finally, we replaced the double hung windows with casement windows to provide more space for emergency exits and added covers on top of the wells.
The project posed a considerable challenge due to the terrain's characteristics, being larger than originally anticipated. Furthermore, the desired wells were not available in the area, requiring us to source them from another state.
The Result
The client was amazed by the transformation from before to after, with the professionalism exemplified by meeting the agreed-upon deadline.
