A beautiful concrete patio with stamped and river rock accents

The Inspection

Prior to commencement, a thorough inspection of the subsoil conditions was conducted for two designated patio areas, each measuring 12 feet in width by 19 feet in length, and a river rock area of 105 square feet. This initial assessment ensured suitability for the planned enhancements.

The Process

The project involved meticulous preparation, starting with the excavation of two 235 square foot sections for the patios. Subsoil compaction was performed to provide a stable base, followed by the construction of wood frames and the installation of wire mesh to reinforce the concrete. A precise slope was engineered into the patio design to facilitate water drainage. After pouring the concrete, a Majestic Ashlar stamp was applied to create a distinctive pattern. A landing concrete tread was also installed for additional functionality. Concurrently, the river rock area underwent similar subsoil preparation, with landscape fabric laid out before the river rocks were placed.

The Result

Upon completion, the two stamped concrete patios, totaling 470 square feet, showcased an elegant aesthetic with a practical slope for drainage, complemented by the natural beauty of a 105 square foot river rock installation. The patios were colored and sealed after a curing period, ensuring a durable and high-quality finish. The project not only enhanced the visual appeal of the space but also provided a long-lasting outdoor area for recreation and relaxation.
